La Soufriere Volcano Hike - Full Day

A hike for those to like to reach new heights! The La Soufriere volcano is over 3000ft tall, and has one of the most well defined craters of all the Caribbean volcanoes. Your hike will start at approx 900ft, not far from Georgetown, which was the capital of St. Vincent and the Grenadines up until a large eruption in 1912 forced a relocation to the more southerly Kingstown. The volcano trail takes you through the lush rain forest. Closer to the summit the rain-forest recedes and gives way to heathers and grasses, the climate cools and the crater is within sight. The views from the top are amazing, and on a clear day you'll be able to see the Pitons of St. Lucia!
