Twin Center Diving

St. Vincent and the Grenadines is a multi island state made up of 32 islands and cays. St. Vincent is the largest island in the chain, with Bequia, Mustique, Canouan, and Union Island each being accessed by air or ferry. The other islands, such as the Tobago Cays, are only accessible by boat. A visit to St. Vincent would not be complete without allowing some time to visit the Grenadines.

Bequia, the largest of the Grenadine islands, is only 1 hour away from St. Vincent by ferry. There are more opportunities to experience drift diving, and interactions with larger peleagics in the waters around Bequia. The 'must do' dive is The Wall, weather and sea conditions allowing of course. It's possible to take a day trip to Bequia and still have time for diving, or if you prefer why not stay for a day or 2?

You'll find a wide selection of restaurants, and some lovely little gift shops. Quiet beaches and yachts in the bay make this a favorite with visitors. The Bequia Easter Regatta is the last big party on the island for the year, with boat races, and lots of fun for all ages. People come from all over the world to participate, so if you plan to visit during this time reservations should be made well in advance. During the summer months the island is very quiet, waiting for the yachties to return at the end of October.

We are happy to be working with Dive Bequia and the Gingerbread Hotel to offer a twin center option. Prices start at the Gingerbread Hotel US$145 per night (inclusive of taxes and service charges) based on 2 sharing. Depending on the number of dives that you would like to undertake prices start from US$55 per dive inclusive of equipment rental.

Please allow an additional US$20 per person to cover transfers to and from your hotel in St. Vincent to the ferry terminal, and the cost of the return ferry to and from St. Vincent.

The Southern Grenadines, including the Tobago Cays, Mayreau, Union Island, Palm Island, and Petit St. Vincent can be reached by tour boat / day charter, the journey takes approx 2 hours from St. Vincent depending on weather and sea conditions. Diving can be included in a day boat charter, please ask for further information as prices are dependent on the group size.

Alternatively there are flights to Union Island that take about 15 minutes. These flights can be quite busy and it is advisable to book a seat at least a week in advance if possible. Once in Union Island it is a short hop to the Tobago Cays, and Mayreau. Should you wish to include a visit to the Southern Grenadines / Tobago Cays with your dive package please let us know at the time of booking and we will make all of the necessary arrangements for you. Indigo Dive is happy to recommend Scaramouche Tours as our tour provider for day sails. A day sail aboard 'Scaramouche' is US$160 per person and includes flights, breakfast, lunch, soft drinks and rum punch throughout your sail, transfers to and from the airport in Union Island, and snorkel equipment rental as required.
